Preferences

The File\Preferences allows you the ability to customize your interaction with Memorize-It.

The first five check boxes allow you to force Memorize-It to remember and reuse window positions.  If these are not checked, the windows will be sized and placed automatically by the software.  In most cases, the placement of windows will be cascaded.  If any of these boxes are checked, the window position for that window style will be remembered.  The next time one of those windows is created it will be placed and sized accordingly.

Along the right hand column is a check box titled Single View Window (shared).  This is used by the Muli-File Browse Window or List Window (if editing is disabled) to share the view window.  If it is checked, only one view window will be used.  Double clicking on a card, will load that card into an existing view window.  If this is not checked, a new window will be created if that card is not already being viewed.  That new window will then be brought to the front.

The minimum number of quizzes per card is below the Single View Window (shared)..  This is the minimum number of times a card must be shown before it is taken out of the quiz based on its score.  For instance, if you have the minimum number of quizzes set to 3 and are currently quzzing on all cards below 70% a  card that has a score of 80%, but has been shown only twice will be quizzed when it reaches the top of the deck.

Browse Search Path is used by the Muli-File Browse Window when reading decks for browsing.  You list the various directories you would like to browse in the text box. Multiple directories are separated by a semicolon “;”.  For instance if you want to browse the files in c:\windows and c:\memorize, you would put the following into the browse search path:  c:\windows;c:\memorize.  Memorize-It will read in all the “.dek” files from those directories.
