Print Style

Print Border... Cards may have fancy bitmap print borders.  Select File\Print Style\Print Border to create a border.  Import a .BMP into the Print Border window.  Click and drag to select the area where the card will be placed within the border.  If you do not select an area, some information contained in the card may overlap the print  border (also see Use Print Border).
Use Print Border A check mark next to this menu item means that cards will be printed with the current print border.  Otherwise, the print border will be ignored.

Outline Cards This outlines the printed cards which allows you to cut them out with scissors if you are not using perforated paper.
Alternate Sides This is selectable with the Avery and Blanks USA style paper.  If selected (with check mark), the front and back sides of the pages will be printed (see note).  If not selected, all the fronts will be printed and a dialog  box will appear.  As soon as you have turned over all the paper and returned it to the paper tray, press Ok and all the backs will be printed.
Print only fronts This is selectable with the Avery and Blanks USA style paper.  If selected (with check mark), this prints only the fronts of all the cards.
Print only backs This is selectable with the Avery and Blanks USA style paper.  If selected (with check mark), this prints only the backs of all the cards.
Max Cards Per Page This prints as many cards, front and back, as possible on each page.
Max Front and Back This prints as many front cards as possible on each page, and as many back cards as possible on another page.  These are printed on separate pages to allow photocopying on a double sided copier.  The fronts and backs will be lined up for you to cut them out.

Note:  The Avery and Blanks/USA cards (with Alternate Sides unchecked) require you print the fronts first.  You then turn over the paper and run it through the printer again to print the card backs.  You then separate the cards at the perforated edges.  When printing with Alternatie Sides selected, the “File/Printer Setup.../Setup...” should be configured with a paper source of “Manual Feed” and “Portrait” orientation.  This will cause the printer to pause between each page and allow time to turn over the paper.

Blanks/USA cards can be purchased from Viking Office Products (call 1-800-421-1222 for more information).
