I got up at a reasonable hour and was hungry. I bought a box of donuts and some juice and went and sat near the Kaibab trail head. This was my first couple of junk food days on the entire trip. I was hoping to put on a little weight before the four night trip to the bottom.

I wanted to see Kaibab as I was thinking of bringing the trail back up and the end of my four day backcountry pass. After seeing it and speaking briefly to a ranger getting ready to descend, I had decided this would be the trail I would come back up from the bottom.

When I got back to the camp grounds, I moved camp sites as the one I was in was very close to the neighbors and people were noisy. I also felt sort of strange in a camp site so close to Jessica as I had barely talked to her in two days and I had already felt strange about the site when I first got it. The other site I got was much nicer and I even had shade on my picnic table during the day time and I finished the drawing.

I took a quick trip over to the backcountry office to check the weather. Otherwise, I drew all day.

The Kaibab trail and another shot from that area.
Looking down at the Bright Angel trail there were a number of mountain goats waking along a shear cliff. Kind of fun to watch as they had no fear of falling.
This is the last shot for the day.
