I got up and relaxed for a while, then headed out to Sheridan,
WY to get some documents, find somewhere to get my fuel filter changed, then
try to make it to South Dakota. The plan was if it was getting late I would
stop at Devils Tower National Monument. Native American's don't like this name
and prefer to call it Bear's Lodge. So that's what I'll call it from now on.

I found a mechanic in Sheridan, WY by asking at a gas station. I found
him, he went to order the part and I drove to get my FedEx while he waited
for the part. On my way back I got stuck behind this train that stretched
off into the horizon. I thought for sure I would be here for an hour because
it really was moving slow. It stopped and unhooked some cars. Pulled forward,
switched tracks then backed off the road. All told about 15 minutes. |

This is the mechanic where I got my fuel filter changed. The mechanic,
John, was very nice and I would return there without question. If you are
stuck in Seridan, now you know where to get your car fixed. |

These are the first shots of Bears Lodge from the road. |

My car. I'm camped right at the base of the monument. A nice camp ground. |
 |
Views from and of my tent. Couldn't possibly beat this spot. |
 |
I got a bunch of shots of the sun going down. These two are my favorites. |
