I headed out for Glacier National Park around 8am on Sunday morning. I stopped in Missoula for supplies (Costco, REI and Wal-mart).
This is the first look at Glacier from a turn out. It actually hailed for a little while in Missoula.
I went for a short hike near my campsite at Sprague on Lake McDonald.. It was about 5pm and had been raining all afternoon, but the sun came out for a little bit. I think this was the last I saw the sun for the rest of the week.
This was the view from my tent. These ominous clouds let loose about 30 minutes after this shot and it rained until 4pm the next day.
This was my camp site (#7). There didn't seem to be a lot of good hiking here and since my neighbors were kind of strange and it rained all night and had no plans of letting up I decided to head out in the morning and head to Many Glacier which looked much nicer on the map.
